Gideon Paull

Biography

Gideon Paull is an engineer, entrepreneur, and writer who has spent his life in motion — across continents, careers, and the kind of places that leave a mark long after you leave them. As an amputee from childhood, he writes about resilience and the body and the people who show up when it matters with the authority of someone who has lived it.

An engineer by profession, Gideon spent decades building systems and solving problems before turning the same discipline toward the page. Having lived and worked in cities across multiple continents, he uses those places — their rhythms, their light, their particular silences — as the landscapes of his fiction.

He has spent a parallel lifetime exploring the intersection of Jewish mysticism, comparative religion, and the practical challenges of living a spiritually conscious life. The Soul Framework is the distillation of that pursuit — a lifetime of reading, listening, and asking the questions most of us learn to stop asking — its companion Soul Mates turns that framework toward the oldest question of all — what a soul mate truly is — and The Return follows the soul past death, asking what happens when the body ends.

He draws his characters, settings, and stories from the life he has built and the lives he has witnessed. The Held Breath is his debut novel; Holloway is his second.

Gideon lives in Los Angeles with his wife, Elaine.
